Make of It What You Want - intro (iStock photo)How has your 2014 been so far? Have you been scratching that itch to try something new, shimmying things up, digging into something fun and different? Maybe it’s taken until now to test the creative waters? No worries, either way you are not alone. All around Seattle and beyond there are signs of people getting in touch with their inner builder, whether it be through crafting innovative products, starting new businesses, honing skills at places like Makerhaus, and/or simply improving their daily lives through home renovation and personal style updates. To all I say, Bravo!  One of my favorite quotes is, “What would you attempt to do if you knew you could not fail?” Remember, it’s good to just try, regardless of the outcome. It’s your first necessary step toward making your seeded vision more of a reality. So, dive on in!

Below is a sampling of the beautiful products I discovered last month at Seattle’s Urban Craft Uprising, a fantastic semi-annual event that showcases talented indie artisans to the public. You cannot help but get inspired there, plus feel good about shopping locally for your wardrobe and home decor accessories!
